Spongebob Squarepants: Legend of Boo-Kini Bottom
Screen Novelties
For the Spongebob Squarepants: Legend of Boo-Kini Bottom stop motion Halloween special, I worked as a Jr. Puppet Fabricator at Screen Novelties. I had the wonderful opportunity of cleaning, repairing, painting, and fabricating puppets as well as doing Last Looks. I will always have a soft spot for Spongebob and his Bikini Bottom pals, after working on this special.

I color matched and mixed Gary's paint colors

I created and painted many parts of the Squidward puppets, including his mouths, prepped and painted the cast parts, painted and epoxyd the eyeballs, and suction cups .

I cut and shaped the foam for Sandy's tail, and cut and sewed the fur as well.

I created a clay Plankton for a claymation shot

I prepped and painted this special Flying Dutchman puppet head.

I created wings and wands for these background fish puppets.

I created multiple sets of armor for Patrick puppets and repaired many pieces as well.

I sewed the fabric onto the Patrick puppet and made his eyeballs, tongue, and teeth to match the animatic and the Director's visions.

Creating live action puppet heads
One of the greatest moments of my career was being interviewed by Nickelodeon about my role on SpongeBob SquarePants: Legend of Boo-Kini Bottom! As a kid, I was obsessed with all of the behind the scenes and making of footage on Disney and Nickelodeon. I dreamed of being a part of animation and loved seeing how my favorite animated productions were created. You can find me at 2:43 and a few other moments in the above video.
